Phew! Adding a real soccer season for both my boys this fall really made our schedules full, but it was worth it! I had mentioned before that Austin had a little bit of an adjustment to make in jumping in with a team that had already been working together for a few years and getting to know the positions and rules of the game. He improved each game and his coach didn't have to yell at him quite as much. In defense of his coach, he did what all coaches do, and was great! One nice thing about Austin is that he still isn't very competitive in soccer yet. They lost about half their games, maybe even more, but he wasn't phased about it. He was also found doing the "floss" and the "hype " dance on the sidelines at times. Well, that's what you get with two older sisters and a mom who love to dance at home!

This wasn't soccer, but at his school's fun run. His smile was the best. |

He's with the red sleeves, to the left. |

This one didn't turn out as clear. |
Austin's team had a parent/son game at practice the last night. He's with the blue shirt on the far left and Jason has on the burgundy shorts on the right. Parents won!

Erik really improved with his soccer skills as well. It's fun to watch him and Austin apply what they learned to their own games at home. It was also nice to see Austin "coaching" Erik from the sidelines at his games. Erik's team only lost the first game out of 8 and had some high scoring games! They were a great team!

I think we'll be doing Canton Celtic soccer again!
so fun seeing the boys improve in their skills, whether it is dancing on the side lines or defending the goal!
