Highs and Lows

This week there were some highs and some lows. The lows were with our new callings. There was a funeral that we helped plan and carry out for a brother in our ward. There was also the birth and then death of a new baby. She wasn't expected to live long, but it still was not easy on the family.  Both families needed extra love and support this week. It was quite the way to jump into our new callings, especially since the Bishop was out of town!

The highs were that I took Victoria and Karissa to see Lindsey Stirling on Monday night at last minutes' notice. She is a violinist/dancer who served an LDS mission. She is very talented and my girls absolutely love her! Last night, Jason and I went to see Def Leppard and Journey at Comerica park in Detroit. We had planned this one for a while and we're very excited to go. The Pretenders were the opening concert and that was also wonderful! We had a few more highs, but we're leaving for California in two hours, so I'd better get going!
