Phase One

After being sick for almost a week and having been inside most of the time due to the weather, Victoria was going through an early-year crisis. First, I cut her hair, then she decided she wanted to have her own room. In compromise to that, I decided we should give their room a makeover instead. The first phase was to  take down their bunk beds, which meant also getting rid of one of the dresser/shelf units since there will be less room. We had to go through all of their books and decide which ones could be put in the boys' room and which ones we could part with. We also had to go through their "collections", which we're still working on. I am currently in the process of finding a new taller dresser that can house both of their clothes and we will put a small bookshelf in the closet to hold their books. The project will probably take another month or more since I am not dedicating all my time to this right now, but they love their "new room" now and are anticipating the other changes, especially the new colors and rainbow decor we will be adding at the end!

I didn't take very good before pictures, actually, none! But here's one in-the-process. We had put all the books in the boys' room and the kids sat looking at books while we moved the big furniture.

Here's the room the way it is now.
They've been making their beds since we've rearranged. I wonder how long that will last?
Stay tuned!
