No Buisness Like Show Buisness

About 6 weeks ago my girls tried out for a play called Honk. It's the story of the Ugly Duckling. They both got parts as two of the ducklings, Fluff and Downy. I was unsure at first because it was during the school year and for the start of the practices, they still had dance and piano. Luckily, at the beginning, they weren't required to go to as many practices, since their parts weren't as big. Toward they end, after dance recitals and Austin's ice hockey ended, they were required to go to more practices, and all of them for the last week before the show, which was last weekend.

They enjoyed it and turned out to be great actresses! Victoria got a mic, Karissa opted not to because the tape was very sticky and bothered her. There was an orchestra in the pit and they were at the Cherry Hill Village Theater, a big-time stage here in this area, so they got the works! Here some cute pics from the show.

The Four Ducklings (Billy, Downy, Beaky, Fluff) "Billy" is our friend from church and "Beaky" is Victoria's friend from school.

Their "big brother" Ugly.

Making fun of the big bro

Running to play without the big bro

Hugging Mom before she goes to find Ugly who wandered off with the cat.

Dad taking care of the now "teenage" ducklings. Can you see the attitudes on their faces and in their stance?

"When is she returning?"

Singing the final song.

"You're a swan!"

Whole cast- many played a few roles.

Cute kids!
