Mercado Reunion in Breckenridge

We recently returned from a family reunion in Breckenridge, CO. with Jason's family. We'd never been to Breckenridge before and it was a beautiful place to go! Karissa noticed the altitude as soon as we arrived. She said, "It's hard to breathe!" We were about 9,600 feet.

Some of the highlights of the trip:

-being with family (the kids loved playing with cousins, aunts, uncles, and Gramms and Abuelo)
pizza on the first night with cousins
-watching the parade on the 4th of July with Gramms and Abuelo
-the view!
one of the many rivers we encountered on our trip out west

-the gondola ride up to Peak 9 (or was it Peak 8?) where they have all sorts of fun activities during the off-season for skiing

the kids wanted to ride with Aunt Auburn, Uncle Jason, and Mali
-miniature golf with all the family

Erik wasn't into it though, he played with the same four cars the whole two week trip- wouldn't let them out of his sight!
 -the roller coaster (not pictured)
waiting patiently while some of us rode the roller coaster

-watching movies with cousins during downtime

-swimming (the pool was heated, but it was just a tad too chilly for me since it was only in the 70s!)

-exploring

 -the view!
Erik called this "Erik Snow" since we had just seen Happy Feet 2 and the baby penguin is called Erik.
 -hiking!

-my girls went with Gramms and I to paint plates while my boys fed some fish with Jason

-bowling with everyone (two-year-olds Erik and Corban each got a strike!)
-imagination games with cousins

Same hike, different day

-the hot tub

-the rec. path

It was great to see everyone. We love Colorado!
